About Sherry Crummy
I started Crummy Media Solutions in 2012 after facilitating several social media workshops for the Smiths Falls & District Chamber of Commerce the year before. During those workshops, I realized the need for entrepreneurs to understand and utilize popular digital marketing tools such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and social media platforms.
I love helping entrepreneurs and small business owners increase their sales by helping them understand and embrace digital marketing solutions. I am especially passionate about helping small-town businesses access wider markets by harnessing the power of social media.
I’ve spent over 30 years in the marketing and advertising industry, evolving with it to best serve the needs of my clients.
I believe in giving back to the community: I am an active member of the Carleton Place and District Chamber of Commerce, Smith Falls and District Chamber of Commerce, and Perth and District Chamber of Commerce, and serve on the Carleton Place Youth Centre Board of Directors. I serve on the steering committee of 100 Women Who Care of Lanark County. I am an ambassador for the CP Chamber, welcoming new members. And, I mentor new business owners in my role on the grant committee for Starter Company Plus in Lanark County. I love being the connector for business collaborations.
Previously, I served on the Town of Smiths Falls Economic Development Advisory Committee, Downtown Heritage Perth BIA Board of Directors, and the Carleton Place and District Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. To help ensure the long term economic viability of Lanark County.
I have recently volunteered my services for local charities, including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County, Rocky Road Dog Rescue in Ottawa, and Lanark Highlands Plan B.
In March of 2020, I started the Facebook Group, Plan to Prosper Business Support Community, to offer support, resources, and education, to local small businesses dealing with all the changes to their business environment. If you are a small business owner, I welcome you to join.
